Eminem Sparks Up 22-Year Feud with Benzino in Fresh Diss Track, Taking Shots at Coi Leray as Well
Eminem has sparked up his long-standing feud with Benzino
once again.
The 51-year-old rapper dropped "Doomsday Pt. 2" on
Friday, featured on Lyrical Lemonade's latest album, All Is Yellow. In this diss
track, Eminem directs his words at rapper-producer Benzino, 58.
In the explicit song, Eminem takes shots at Benzino,
suggesting a playful jab at his stature: "What is the opposite of Benzino?
A giraffe / 'Go at his neck,' How the f--- is that? / How can I go at somethin'
he doesn't have / Arm so short he can't even touch his hands / When they're
above his head doin' jumpin' jacks."
Eminem doesn't stop there. He delves into Benzino's
financial challenges, referencing "all the debt you in," and also
questions Benzino's sexuality. The rapper revives old rumors, insinuating that
Benzino might be gay because he was seen with another man at a Red Roof Inn.
Eminem even takes aim at Benzino's daughter, Coi Leray, a 26-year-old
rapper-singer known for "No More Parties," questioning the success of
her collaboration with the line: "Guess that Coi Leray feat's in the
toilet, aye?"
As of now, Leray hasn't responded to the diss. However, just
a day before, she announced her new record deal with Island Records and dropped
her latest single, "Wanna Come Thru."
It's worth noting that in a 2022 interview with DJ Vlad,
Benzino (real name: Raymond Leon Scott) openly discussed his financial
struggles and addressed speculations about his sexuality. During a tough
period, he temporarily stayed at a Red Roof Inn with a friend after separating
from his wife, citing financial difficulties. Benzino expressed his frustration
with the assumptions about his sexuality, emphasizing that not everything is
linked to sexual orientation.
The renewed exchange of disses between Eminem and Benzino
rekindles an ongoing rivalry, showcasing that, for these two, the verbal
sparring continues.
