"Vivek Agnihotri to Skip Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha for This Reason: 'Only Ramji Knows How Sad...'"
The much-anticipated inauguration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is set to
unfold on January 22. A star-studded guest list includes Bollywood luminaries
like Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar,
and Randeep Hooda, among others. The grandeur of the occasion, however, carries
a tinge of regret for director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, known for "The
Kashmir Files," as he expressed his disappointment at missing the Ram
Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Agnihotri shared
images of the invitations for the auspicious day. In his post, he revealed, “I
was pleasantly surprised to receive many follow-up calls from the office of CM
@myogiadityanath Ji. The lady asked me travel details in an extremely warm but
professional manner. Mighty impressed with the way technology is used to ensure
a comfortable and safe visit for all. It’s unfortunate that I am not being able
to attend #PranPratishtha as I am not in Bharat on 22nd Jan for some inevitable
reason and only Ram ji knows how sad I am. #RamMandir.”
For those unfamiliar with the ceremony, the Pran Pratishtha
(consecration) of the Ram Lalla within the temple is scheduled between 12:15 pm
and 12:45 pm on January 22. Notable attendees will include PM Modi, UP CM Yogi
Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, and president
of the temple trust Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. The temple trust has extended
invitations to over 7,000 people for this momentous event.
The Ram temple complex, constructed in the traditional
Nagara style, boasts impressive dimensions: 380 feet in length (east-west
direction), 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height. Each floor will stand 20
feet tall, featuring a total of 392 pillars and 44 gates, with no use of iron
in the entire construction. The Nagara style, known for towering spires,
intricate carvings, and symbolic representations, is exemplified by the
renowned Khajuraho temples in Madhya Pradesh.
As the countdown to the historic inauguration continues, the
excitement is palpable, with a blend of star power and religious significance
contributing to the significance of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
